Family life in Britain

I have just read an article in my English book, I thought you might be interested because it talks about family life in Britain.
 The Text says that the families in Britain are changing, so in 2020 there will be more single people than married people.
Only about 60% of couples eventually get married. Many people don't want to get married in their younger years and also don't want children until they are over thirty. They prefer to concentrate on their jobs.
The number of single-parent families is increasing.

But the situation here in Austria isn't better, because the young generation also don't want getting married and having children.
Personally, I think it isn't so bad because I also don't want to get a child when I am 20 years old, so it is better for the children.

Guy Fawkes Day and Halloween

Hey guys,

Today I want to give you some informations about "Guy Fawkes Day" and "Halloween"!

The "Guy Fawkes Day" is celebrated on November 5th.
It is in memory of an unsuccessful plot to blow up the King and Parliament in 1605.
More young than older people celebrate the day, they make big fireworks and sit on bonfires and roast potatos and sausages in the fire.
Nowadays the children make figures out of rags or clothes and display them in the streets and collect money to buy fireworks.

In some parts of Great Britain they also celebrate "Halloween". Children dress up as witches or ghosts and play ducking for apples.
In the USA, children go from house to house and play "trick or treat".

About me

My name is Kevin Steindl. I'm 14 years old and live in Waldhausen. It's a small village near Grein in Austria. I have no brother and no sister. Before i went to Perg i attend to secondary school in Waldhausen. My hobbies are playing football, skiing, swimming and of course metting my friends. I also play videogames on my playstation.
